We are in the process of moving several hundred branch PCs into an existing AD domain. After the PC is added to the domain, the user is told to log in for the first time with a generic password, after which they are supposed to be prompted to change their password (via AD user properties). In about 50% of the cases, they are never prompted to change the password.
All PCs are Windows XP Pro created from a master image. These branch PCs all have a Novell client loaded on them for access to a Novell file/print server located at each branch.
I've been looking at DC replication as a possible culprit, but I'm not sure. Has anyone else had a similar problem?
