I have a Word documnt that is 12 pages long. I want page 1 to have a 3 inch top margin, and the rest of the pages set at 1 inch. When I change the margin in page 1, it changes all the pages. How would I change the margins for this one page only. Thank you!!

~Steve

On page 1, go to File -> Page Setup to start the Page Setup Dialog Box. On the tab Margins set Top to 3 inches.
Next select Whole document at the Apply To dropdown box (on the same tab). Click OK.
Go to the top of page 2, go to File -> Page Setup. On the Margins tab set Top to 1 inch. Now choose This Point Forward in the Apply To box.

Steve,

One option (a workaround) would be to set the Margin at 1" (for all pages). But then for the first page, insert blank rows to force your first line of text to the 3" point.

Hope this helps. Please advise as to whether this is workable.

I thought about inserting blank rows, but I needed the actual margin to be 3''...Thank you ilses, that worked
