Hi,

I'm working with CR10 and CE10. I got something weird and seems no clue how to do it, I was able to change data source through CE 10 CMC interface when test scheduling. My problem is I have a SQL expression field to do Oracle function call like "schemaname.packagename.functionname(Param1, Param2)" and the schema name inside SQL expression seems unable to change through CMC unless you manually change it in report designer. It did take me a while to figure out what's the problem and seems I can't use Oracle function in my report at least for now with this problem.

Does anybody have the similar problem before or is there any workaround or hotfix I need to apply?

Thanks,

Ted

Hi,
The problem, as you have figured out, is that Crystal does not 'know' anything about your Sql Expression, it just passes the contents to Oracle...If there are no other functions with that name and the user has rights to execute it, then do not specify the schema name at all, just the function name..( or create a public synonym).

Thanks Turkbear,

You are right. Create a public synonym may solve me problem. Thanks for remind me.
