Hello everyone
We´re running DHCP server on NW 5.0 with latest SP.
The ip´s that are handled by the dhcp are at the moment 10.42.42.30-10.42.42.249 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0

I would like to change this to 10.42.42.30-10.42.42.230 and change the subnet mask to 255.255.248.0
AND add an extra subnet 10.42.44.30-10.42.44.230 also with subnet mask 255.255.248.0

My question is: What is the easiest way to do this ?
It seems like I can´t edit the current ip range or subnet mask. Do I have to delete that entry and enter it again, along with the new ip-range and subnet mask ?

Appreciate any help.

/Dan

yep - your going to have to delete - the fact that the mask is changing as well means it's easier and neccesary to start again

easiest way is set the lease time down to something nice and short - ie a day
then on friday or weekend if your keen

change the servers mask
create you new subnet pool
create address ranges and start dishing out
if you split the address ranges to be dished out first then should avoid any ip conflict and the leases should have expired anyway so would go and get a new one

you could export it - edit the numbers and reimport but i would delete to be clean
