I have 6 tapes which now are in the full month volume pool. I want to change these into full year volume pool and of course I get an error " Change pool of xxx failed". How do I get these into the full year volume pool? Do I have to deassign them or what?

yes, it can be done through some command line manipulations but I do not reccommend doing it. for an idea on how to do it, please read the technote

Media Manager error 94: "Volume not in specified pool" - scenarios and solutions

It will take you step-by-step the procedures for unassigning from the unwanted volume pool and how to reassign it to the new volume pool.

If the expiration needs changed then you can do that via the bpexpdate comand. If the retention is OK and you just want change the volume pool then you couls also make a sedcond copy using the yearly pool and then you can bpexpdate copy 1.
