We had Avaya do an upgrade after hours and when they got done, the system was not in night mode. So instead of the night message, callers were just hearing the phone ring. I couldn't find a way to put the system in night mode remotely. Anyone know how? I have remote access and could enter a FAC. The system is a R013x.01.5.642.3, g3v13, CM 3.1.5. Thanks. -G.

Upgrade what? CM Software upgrades require CM reboots and the system comes up in night service by default.

various forms of night service are activated by time or button pushes on phones and or consoles and a full CM reboot (reset 4)
SAT commands can also enable and disable variations of night service.

If you could remote in, there are SAT commands that may do what you want, but there are not any FAC codes you can dial to accomplish this.

Tier3 - It was an upgrade from CM 3.1.2 to 3.1.5. What is a SAT command?

phoneguy55 - list trace attendant xxxx/x doesn't seem to work. Interesting concept, though.

Thanks for the info. -G.

SAT Command Prompt:

Terminal Emulation from ASA puts you here instead of Gedi.

Command: status attendant x
Command: disable night-service help
Command: enable night-service help

Thanks, Tier3 -- exactly what I needed! -G.

Here is a better example of the list trace. You could use this from SAT for hunt-ns, trunk-ns, night-serv buttons on voice terminals.

The way I do this is to put a night service button on your phone. I then use softphone to access my set and press the button. Please note you can only have one night service button for the entire system. The includes the button on the console. It could be dangerous where a errant button push on the phone can throw the entire system into night service.

Hope this helps

or move the button to a non console then use the list trace method.
