change extension of a phone

I have installed a new phone on my system. It picked up ext 310, which is the extension for our call centre (we have a callpilot mini 150)

I can't have a phone set with the extension of my call centre, so I went into system programming and did a Change DNs to change the set to 209 (a free extension). However, after doing this, when you dial 310 you get a 'not in service' message instead of the call centre.

I used Change DN to put things back, but now I have a uselss phone set. How can I change it without affecting ext 310 and the call centre?

Put 209 back to 310, turn off set relocation and plug in new phone then if you want set relocation to on.

I used Change DNs again to put 209 back, so now I have a phone set called 310, which is the same as my call centre.

I tried turnig set relocate off, and plugging it in again, and it picked up ext 251, which is another special mailbox, so I can't use that one. I plugged it into another jack and it became 310 again.

Hawks, when I do a F985, I get a vm 250, pressing next gets me into my skillsets, on ext 310 and 327

Just change it to another DN that's not in use.

i.e 310 to XXX
