If i create a new user, givng full administrative rights, then delete the original user, will everything move to the new user with no loss of access to anything?
I want to be sure I don't lose any email, addresses, documents, etc. before I do this.
It is an attempt to regain all the icons that were somehow lost in ths system try.
I know a new user gets them all back, but then I lose access to some files, unless I do a lot of copying, etc.
Right now, the system try has everything, except the clock, and the settings for the clock is greyed out.

If they are using exchage for their e-mail, all the e-mails should be stored in the exchange server.

If they are using a pop account, export their emails, contacts, etc to a pst file and transfer it to a drive where you can import it from later.

You can sign in as admin, rename the profile to .old and login again, it will recreate the profile, and if you need anything you can just navigate to the renamed .old profile.

Hope this helps.
