Change email destination in FW1

Using FW1 4.1 on NT and currently have eSafe running as well. As things work I have email first go to esafe which passes back to FW1, then it is sent to the exchange server.

I have setup a PureMessage box that is going to do some anti-spam and anti-virus scanning. The box is setup to relay to the exchange server after it finishes with the mail.

How would one change FW1 to send smtp to the new box rather than to esafe and the exchange server.

I had hoped to just change the smtp.conf file to point to the address of the new box, but it just put things into a loop with the messages never arriving.

Any suggestions?
