Okay, I am new to this setup. This is my first job in this field at a small elementary school. The last computer guy left and took everything with him(i mean everything!). So I desperately need some help.

I am running Intuity Audix 4.4 and my question is how can I change the Phone display of who is calling. I can display the list of phone extension and changed the names to the new ones, but when the phone rings it still shows the old names. Is there some command that refreshes or updates a DB table somewhere? Anyone????

You should have two databases, one for voice mailboxes and one for the PBX. The PBX is where you will need to make the name change that will reflect the phone display.

In voice mail the command is: change subscriber xxxx
In the PBX the command is: change station xxxx

Here is a link to get more information on basic administration:

Candyman,

You need to make the change in two places as Toni269 stated.

If you changed it in the audix, thats why its not changing o the phone display. The phone display comes from the pbx side. The two commands would be

In switch

Change station XXXX
(you will see on the first page where to change the name)

In Audix

Change sub XXXX
(again on the first page is where you change the name, and also password if need be)

thanks for the reply, i have changed the names in the: change sucscriber xxxx, but i was wondering if there was some update command to execute. I have changed everyone name there, but when people call it still shows the old name. Any ideas?

You are using F3 to execute, aren't you?

If you change the name in both situations (audix and PBX), and execute with F3, there is no way that the old name is there.

At the end you must see: command succesfully competed.

I wonder what's going wrong....
