Hi All,

We have a CS1000M with one Primary Sig Server. I added the Follower Sig Server. I noticed under the security settings of the follower I couldn't use the admin password of the leader SS to get my security finger print. So what I had to do was use my login credentials to setup the security finger print. Does the admin password expire? Never seen this before.

Thanks

Jeremy

thought you had to join it to the security domain first before it would retrieve the centralised security login details, then at that point it disables the local credentials. was this in the security domain?

Remember if it doesn't work hit it harder

When you deployed the new SS it should have got the Security Credentials from the Primary UCM

When you load the sig server Linux base you define the admin2 and the root passwords they are always accessible, then you web browse the SS using " and use the admin2 to access the security config. From there you register to the sec domain using a UCM user with the required rights.

At that point if you were to use the UCM admin to access the SS it should be the same for every SS that is in the same domain. I must say I would normally use the admin2 to access the SS all the time. As its the one you use when patching linux base etc. If you forget the admin2/root you can always reset them using the CD (details in the security NTP).

Thanks everybody for the replies.

Here is what I did.

1. Logged into the new Follower SS via local-login.
2. Then you get the split screen where you can choose Administrator or Full Security, I clicked on Full Security.
3. Then it asks whether the server is a member, Backup Security. I click on backup Security.
4. Then the next window displays the Primary Security Server and its Security Finger Print. It will ask for a login ID and Password. Its been my experience that the ID is admin(Default Network Admin) login and password are that of the Primary Security Server. My admin password wouldn't work at this point. Thought that was strange. I used another login and password with Admin rights and it created the fingerprint. Just wasn't sure if anybody had run into this issue before.

Have you checked the admin account by logging into the UCL cli via ssh
