All,

I am having some issues trying to find information to re-number my 3 digit mailboxes to 4 digit and retain all the messages and greeting on the AD account.

If i got to the VMSC and change the number of digits to 4 (from 3) under the Telephone user interface (number of mailbox digits). I get the following error:

"changing the mailbox length with invalidate all previous mailboxes. do you wish to continue"

will this clear all my AD accounts of their greetings and messages, also do i use the VMenable tool to renumber all the AD accounts to their new 4 digit mailbox

thanks

I think the best thing to do would be to change the mailbox length first and then use VMEnable to to update the mailbox numbers and PBX Extensions. You should prep your file first and this should be done after hours. Also be sure to use /ignore_passwords and /ignore_defaults when running the command.

BTW, the message you are getting from the VMSC is the standard message whenever the length is being changed.
