I've installed some forms on the home page of my website and am getting a "login" box coming up-I don't know what that is all about but I also get this error message: HTTP Error 401.3 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to an ACL set on the requested resource.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

I'm assuming that I need to install CGI scripts to the PHP on the Windows 2003 server?? If that is the case can anyone point me to a "How to install" guide or troubleshooting guide? I'm kind of a low-tech guy-my site resides on my brothers server and he's not much more adept at this stuff than I am....any feedback would be greatly appreciated...thanks

It looks like you are trying to access a web service to which you have no access rights.
You say you have installed some forms on your home page, what are you expecting these forms to do?

I'm trying to get these forms to email me the person who visits my web page and requests to sign up for my ebook download. I would give the website out but it doesn't look like anything that looks like an "ad" on here is allowed. I am authorized to host the website on my brother server-but I'm not sure why this error message and login box comes up??

Are you using php or perl to process the form data? If you are using php you need to ask inthe php forum, if you are using perl then this is the correct forum.

But it sounds like your html/forms are in a protected folder, you need to move it to the public html/ (the web root).

This is probably going to be a learning process for you so don't expect this to be painless.

It is PHP and I wouldn't know if it is in the folder but I will find out. I don't think there is curretnly a script in place-so I think I need to get one installed-I'll keep on digging but if anyone has any quick ideas please let me know...in the meantime I'll scoot on over to the PHP forum. Thanks
