CGI scripting - email

I was wondering if someone could direct me to some good help.

I want to use a ‘lil CGI scripting on my webpage.
Actually, all I want to do is have a button where people can submit their email address to me.

Is this difficult to do?
Where can I get straight-forward info. on how to do this?

There are many sites out there that have scripts that can do this for you. Many are even free.

Check the site below, what you are looking for is a scripting technoogy called 'mailto'. It allows you to submit form data via email.
