cfxa question 3

I have cfxa set on many of our phones, and it works great for internal calls. They get forwarded out to the cell as expected.
The problem is that calls from the outside go to the receptionist, and not the cell. The receptionist can forward back to the number and it goes to the cell, but i would like to go straight to the outside number. And yes, i know of the fraud potential, etc.

I would appreciate any insight!

You would need to check your customer data block to be sure it allows trunk-to-trunk transfers, and the restriction level on that prompt.
 
in your customer data block check under RDR_DATA for CFO. You will probably need to change this to CFF. This allows the set itself to control the external forward no answer
 
as uaual nortellian is right, look at your rdr data. what that does is use the ncos of the station to route that call. cfo uses the ncos of the INBOUND trunk. your routing calls with bad ncos to the att. that change will not cause a problem. what it does is allow you to forward (cfxa) to any number you can call. if you need cfxa to local, make the cfw 8, that way a ncos 7 station couldn't cfxa ld (or 1900)

Can I use that to access feature codes too? for instance forward to #77 and enter my passcode, number, etc to change a forward?
 
no that will not work, a cfa number can't be a feature code, wronge file type
