I have a DN that is connected to an 800 # (helpdesk line). It is on several phones. It is not on key 0 anywhere. It does not have a voicemail box. I want this phone to ring continuously on the line (x7349) and not be forwarded anywhere. What is happening is that after 4 rings it is FW to the rollup of this line below (x6504). I know that it is marped here, but it won't let me take the MARP off of it. Plus, why is it going to x6504 and not x7595 (voicemail)? Any help would be appreciated.

You could also remove all four instances of the SCR 7349 and change it to an MCR 7349. That way you could potentially have four simultaneous calls answered for that one DN.

Sorry, my answer was not inclusive of your MARP TN answer... I was just thinking the change could be made on the "several" active phones.

I don't think that'll be a problem, as I've set this up a couple of times and the MCR gave a RNA and did not follow the phone's FDN. As long as the MCR was above the LHK and LPK (on an ACD set) it seemed to work, last I remember!

But I guess I could build a few and check, huh!? :)

If I took off the FDN on the MARP phone (x7504) altogether (because he doesn't have voicemail anyway) - would that work?

hskrdean: You are correct in that FDN does not always occur, as one would expect, on key appearances above than the LHK. I believe that is only on certain releases though, and was not by design. I think you'll fine it is any type of DN and varies by release.

You can be sure if a KEY is MARP'd but does not FDN, increasing the LHK does solve it.... never figured out why
