I've just setup mysql 5 for testing on my coldfusion mx 7 server. When i type a query with * (select all) in it i get an error, but if i type the field names into the query it works.

Has anybody ever come across this or is it a problem with mysql 5 cos its still in beta. p.s. i tried the select * query in the mysql query browser and it works, but not in coldfusion. I using odbc connector 3.51.

Gratful for any input.
Thanks

Oh, ok, the Java internal error! That's MacroMedia's way of saying that you should never use "Select *". It's bad programming pratice, and just plain lazy. Maybe you've discovered some new filter they built into CF 7 that actually forces programmers to do things right...

Hope This Helps!
