Macromedia has released the ColdFusion MX Updater, version 3. The updater is Macromedia's version of a service pack for CFMX.

I've been running updater 3 for several months now (it came out in March) on 2 servers and haven't seen any problems.

The only problems that I have had with Up3 is where I have missed attributes out that were ignored in previous versions of MX. For instance CFHTTP in Up2, it ignored the CharSet attribute, Up3 looks at this and it made some of my code go horribly wrong.

I can hear most of you saying that, "Well thats not a problem with Updater 3" and I agree, its not, but this might be the sort of problem that ibearian is having.

and on that point, ibearian what is the problem that you are having?

i was all kinds of problems with cfmx pack two, i think these were caused by a microsoft upgrade upsetting it. odbc errors, not enacting application.cfm pages properly (if at all). CFMail not even looking like playing !

Have you recomplied the cf server as the updater sugests ?

i was very nevous to do so ?
