CF 4.5.1 install hangs on "Updating Registry Entries"- how to install/

My system:
Win2k Evaluation copy, build 2195
Using origional Allaire CF 4.5.1 cd.

My Problem:
I try to install Coldfusion 4.5.1 from the Allaire CD and it hangs on the "Updating Registry Components.."

I've tried installing with other CDs and the same thing happens.

I try to uninstall coldfusion but it says it can't find the .MSI uninstall file.

I searched for Coldfusion in the registry and deleted the keys associated with it, then tried to install
again- but ran into the same problem.

I've also tried to restart after cancelling the install each time, but I still can't get past the "updating
registry.." in the install.

Help? Is there something else in the registry that is different\needs to be changed? (I searched the
registry and there are no references to allaire or coldfusion.)

Can Coldfusion not be installed on an evaluation copy of windows2000?

maybe you need to have admin's right to wrtite in your registry ....

This is one issue with CF4.5.1 and Win2000

Windows 2000 issues: [ul][li]The ClusterCATS in ColdFusion 4.5.1 does not work with Windows 2000 SP1. If you have Windows 2000 SP1 and are installing ColdFusion for the first time do not install the ClusterCATS in the ColdFusion 4.5.1 kit. If you do try to install ClusterCATS, the entire installation will fail. Only elect to install ClusterCats when installing ColdFusion 4.5.1 SP1 kit. [/li][li]You may have to add your LDAP server to the hosts file on the Windows 2000 server that hosts the CF Application Server.[/li][/ul]

iza- I have admin rights.. but good idea.

tleish- I'm not installing clustercats (is it installed by default?) and as far as i know, this isn't SP1.. It is build 2195, and I applied Service Pack 2 on it.. so it should be fine.. I would be insterested if ClusterCats is installed by default, tho.. can't find it in the manual..

I was able to install JRUN on it- can't seem to figure whats the problem.
