I'm currently running several PCs with Office 2007 / Outlook 2007 connected to an Exchange 2007 server. Whenever anyone of my Outlook 2007 clients connect to their mailbox on the Exchange 2007 server he gets the following message: "Name on the Security Certificate is Invalid or Does Not Match the Name on the Certificate".
The dialog message contains a Install Certificate-button, and pressing this I found out that the message hints to some certificate on the Exchange host being outdated. The date - older than today - was also mentioned.
A search on the Internet revealed many solutions to this. However no one removed the certificate-too-old message, which came up twice each time anyone started Outlook 2007.
This procedure worked:
Starting msc.exe from 'run' of the start button and then following this procedure:
Add snap-in > Certificates (local computer) > Personal > Certificates. Then delete the certificate named as the Exchange host-computer and having the old date.
