I'm running Centrevu Supervisor 5.70 on winxp, it was working fine. We changed our domain servers, nothing is touched in CMS. when I logged on in new domain and I try to run centrevu from new profile, it gives me an error "OLE Automation server cannot create object" and another error "Error 25001, sub_main" and then the program crashes. any ideas?

Mm.

As usual with these sort of problems, try to delete the cache folder first. Make sure all cvterm processes are stopped first...

Thanks BIS. Infact I did a clean install. It doesn't seem to work.

I give an error:

Could not perform the operation
Error: 25001
Location: Sub_Main.

Any idea?

Hi,
Sorry for the late reply. A clean install will not clear the temp/cache folders. Try this:
Reboot.
Uninstall.
Reboot.
Delete all C:\program files\Avaya(Lucent)\CentreVu... folders.
Reboot.
Reinstall...

Thanks BIS,

Unfortunately the version I use is 16bit software, it installs on C:\Centrevu, I can't uninstall it, as there is no uninstall option.
The clean install, I meant is I just deleted the folder and reinstalled it. This will clear the cache too.
I guess the problem could be something else. I'm facing problme in my Internet Explorer too, I'm not able to open links in a new window. Could this affect centrevu.

Reg.

Version of our CMS is R3V5. Centervu V8 will not work with this CMS version. I've already tried this..

I'm stuck with this.

Hmm, then I really don't have a clue...
Do you have a spare box on which you can pop Windows95 and try from there?
Perhaps some of the other forum members can help.

Sorry.

Well, Thanks BIS.

It's working in all other PCs. The damn thing is making problem only on my PC (win XP.). I think I've to format my PC for this.........

anyway thanks again.

Yeah, something screwed up in the registry or whathaveyou, strange. Good luck :)

V5 Supervisor only works on
3.11
Win95
NT4
Any other windows OS is a bonus however when you moved to a different domain you may have lost your user rights. Make sure that you are a member of the power users group, if this still does not work then make yourself a member of the adminisrators group. You're complete right there is no uninstall. When you re-installed I assummed that you removed the original /centervu directory

Thanks all for support.

Finally I've to format my PC and reinstall win XP (Microsoft's ultimate solution) to get my Internet Explorer working. And CentreVu also works now.

Thanks.
