centralized database and group server

Hi i have two question

1) I have setup centralized database for three servers (one is master and two other is member server. It all seem ok but i don't see any difference. What's the advantage to use it. i setup because i tinked it's give me a centralized report for all servers jobs, pool media
and other thing

2) What's the group server and how i can setup and use it
