Centralized CM and MOH

CS1000 tech here. We are moving to a Centralized CM in our Data Center for approximately 200 of our sites. A question has come up in the design about how we will provide MOH and if we can customize it by site, region, etc.

Since all of our sites will be served with Centralized SIP trunking from out data center there will be no hardware located at the sites. A 2 G450 gateways will be installed at the data center but what are my options for providing MOH to these sites?

One option utilizing the G450 is to install a MM711 in the gateway and use it as your moh port from some variety of audio device. We are using this configuration with a Sirius XM receiver, attached to some model of amplifier(I would have to look at it to know what it is) and inputting this signal to an MM711 port.

So that looks to be an analog Trunk/Station card with 8 ports. Does that mean I could connect 8 different music sources?

If so how do I set a phone to play from a music source by site or region when placing a call on hold.

Are there limitations to the number of music sources then?

I'll let someone else address the issue of capacities but my music-sources page has 100 possible entries. We use Tennant partitioning to deliver different sources to users. The tennant form is where you will define the music source for stations in that tennant.

i believe this will give you what you want in a simplified way , if that does not do a search on the forum for group moh , as there are different ways of approaching your requirement.
