Center Alignment in Tables and Layers Format

I have made a Template for about 10 page of my site, and the CENTER alignment function only is available when the template is made from a page in TABLES format. If the page is in LAYERS format, the CENTER alignment function will not work.

Questions:

1. Why is this? Am I doing something wrong?

2. Is there any way to CENTER align a page when in Layers format?

Thanks for any knowledge and/or advice regarding this.

youhave to nest layers inside a generall layer that has been set up with align="center"
sometimes i just cant take it...then i realize its already to late

with the center layers extension you don't need to nest layers. Center layers is available at macromedia exchange Ranjan
