I have a table that reads two columns, inserts a value, and then multiplies that value by another input cell. The PRODUCT function was working fine until I changed the formula to retrieve the data. I can get the data (which is a number by the way) to get into the cell, but now my two cells won't multiply. If I change the PRODUCT formula to the simple E11*F11, then my column doesn't add the total at the bottom.

What am I missing?

Thanks,
Christine

It may be this simple but without more information I can't be sure. Go to the Tools menu and select OPTIONS. Click on the calculations tab. There is a section on calculation which can be either automatic, automatic except tables and manual. I'd make sure automatic is selected.

If this is so then it's clearly more complicated!

HandleUK,

Thanks, but its already set to automatic. for some reason I either get a #VALUE! or a #NA in the fields. I have all numbers, but something must be reading something incorrectly.

Thanks,
Christine

Christine - I have posted an answer in your earlier thread (which is what I presume this relates to) Rgds
