Cell Merge

Hi all,
Say I create a columns to the left of some data(s). Say the new column have 6 cells. So how do I merge these 6 cells, so that whenever I enter a text, it will appear vertically centered and appear only once?

Hello Ian,

You have to accept that BO is a read-only tool, the only text you can edit are the headers of objects or the input of newly created cells. There is something that could be where you are after. If you apply a break on a column you can specify with format breaks : "center value across break" . This will give the exact effect you are asking for.

However the contence of a column is dictated by values from the dataprovider and the object you assign to a column. It does not function like a spreadsheet where every cell can be filled with input. T. Blom
