I was putting the finishing touches on a machine that I built with a Celeron 2.2GHz & an intel H845DVL motherboard (supports fsb100 & pc133 ram). I was looking at the BIOS listing of the processor, and it says on the screen "0kb cache". Could this be correct? There's no option in the bios setup to enable/disable cache like a lot of other boards had (probably the earlier boards with cache on the motherboard, I haven't checked recently).

I know how much of a performance hit no cache causes, anyone seen anything like this? The Celeron's supposed to have like 128kb L2 cache, and probably some amount of L1 cache.

Occurred to me to grab wcpuid & check, and that software says it has the cache it's supposed to have. Strange, maybe that motherboard needs a bios update; not too important, though.

I think maybe the mb bios supports celeron with 128kb cache.
and you have a "new" celeron w/256kb L2 could do this.
(resulting in L2 cache disabled).
