CE 9 APS LOGIN FAILURE

Hi

I installed CE 9.0 and When I launch eportfolio I am getting "Communication Error" and I looked in to CCM and I found out the APS was not started.I went to the APS service properties and then I unchecked the System Account and chose the user name with domain.Now I don't know what password I need to give.Is it My windows NT password?
I gave my windows nt password and it gave me"The service did not started due to login failure".I tried giving "sa".It didnot work.I have SQL Server 2000 installed on my machine.I did not see the APS database at all.
Do I need to register a new server.I checked in the ODBC Drivers ,I could not see the ODBC driver to access the APS database.....Please advise....

Hi,
Why uncheck the System Account?
Was it not starting when it was checked?
Did you set up the APS as a local MSDE database or was SqlServer already installed and you used that?
