I'm trying to set up this Omnitronix DataLink 100 to capture CDR from my Option 11 and the documentation that came with the box is woefully inadequate.
I figured out most everything on my own including how to get the device on the network and have it send data out to a remote PC.
I have also had my vendor come out and turn on CDR on port 2 of the switch.
None of the documentation tells how to physically hook the Datalink box to the Option 11. I don't know whether I need a null modem adapter out of the Option 11 or what. When I hook port 2 from the switch to my maintenance terminal I see jibberish coming across. As far as I know the Option 11 and the Datalink box are configured to communicate at 19200. Could it be that all I need is a null modem adapter to be able to see decipherable data coming across?
Anyone have experience with these Omnitronix boxes? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks TJ

You most likely will need the null modem adapter. Change your terminal setting to 9600/7/mark/1 and that should clear your gibberish up

How do you change the speed to 9600 in the Meridian? Thanks TJ
