I need help in understanding the data collected from my Lucent Definity Prologix. I have a call accouting software connected to the pbx and it sometimes reports calls with duration up to about Nine Hours (9:59:12) with duplicate and also the date and time of the calls are the same.
Can anyone help me understand this please. My use a Telecount call accounting software.
 
I have run into this problem. Do you have modems that stay connected all day? When this happens the Prologix will sent the 9:59:12 call to the cdrr and start the timer again. Therefore if the modem call or any station for that matter stays connected for more than 9:59:12 you will receive the data in these increments. If the call is connected for 2 days you will receive about 5 9:59 calls give or take.

Ed has you in the right direction. Also look for trunks that have not disconnected calls. I have had this problem before as well as modems.

You may want to set up Automatic Circuit Assurance (ACA) which will alert you to very short or very long call holding times.

I too have had this problem. People call my coference bridge via a polycom then when the call is over walk out without hanging up the phone. The cdr reports show multiple calls with the time of 9:59. To solve this my call accounting package can send an email to my blackberry when there is a long cdr record. I then log into the PBX and busy and release the trunk. This hangs up the call. Then next day I find the user and let them know what they did wrong. After a while this problem stoped.
