I have a 24x10x40 MIRAI burnproof cd rewriter. It successfully writes to a Memorex 700mb 1x-4xCD-RW. It also writes ok to Imation 700mb 1x-52xCD-R, but fails to recognise Imation 10x-24x CD-RW. Why?

Writers, especially ones that are slightly older, have always been picky on media and this is particularly true for CDRW disks.
Find the brands that best suit and stick to them, that's about the best advice I can give unfortunately.
