I have a CD Writer 12832. It reads the CD correctly. The problem is writing to the CD. It appears that everything is working correctly. However, when I check the disc, nothing is there. However it appears to be tring to read something. Is there a simple thing that I can do to fix it or has it become a read-only CD player?

Thank you.

What software are you using to write to the CD. Have you checked the test/simulation option in your burn software?

I use XP to copy a file to disk. The light on the CD-r flickers from red to green like it's suppose to do when it's wring to a CD. However, now for whatever reason there aren't any files to be seen when I try to write to a CD. I don't know if the laser for wring is misalligned or dirty ot something else. There appears to be something written to the disk, but it's something that can't be read back. I don't know if there is some software out there that can be used to check out the CD.
