Hello all:

Does anyone know how to assign drive letters permanently to CD -rom drives? I recently added a new drive CD rom drive to my machine; at that time my removable drive was off and now everything but the sytem drive changes. I have changed the drive letter to what I want in disk management, but after reboots all my changes are discarded.

Any ideas how to prevent that from happening?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Thanks a lot linney:

I tried the suggested links and no luck. as much as I hate to do it; I think I just might reinstall windows. It's not that it's crucial it's just annoying

C: system drive
D: CD-Rom
E: program files drive
F: CD-Rom
G: Data Drive

it's just really bugs me... I really wanted to have my CD-Rom drives last.

Thanks a lot for you help.
