Hello all. I am having a problem with the CD/DVD drive label on Windows XP. Here's what happens. When I insert a CD or DVD the drive label changes to whatever disc label is on the disc. That's not a problem. But when I remove the disc either by right-clicking on the drive and clicking eject or by pushing the button on the drive, the drive label does not revert back to it's original label (i.e. DVD/CD-RW Drive(D:)). It retains the label of the disc I already ejected. Furthermore if I insert a different disc the label still will not change.

At first I thought this was an anamoly on my desktop PC with WinXP Pro. Then I noticed the same behavior on a friend's brand new laptop with WinXP Home. Both are on SP2, but with my desktop I noticed the problem even before SP2. Anyone have any ideas on how to correct this?

Thanks in advance
