We have been playing with our demo unit currently on 7.0.12 and CCR trying to learn and gain experience for our next test, so far we have been able to successfully install CCR on a 2008 Standard Server x64 and everything seems to work OK expect for the reports. I don’t know what we are missing but when you click on the reports icon and you go to the reports screen, the tabs that allow you to select the type of report you want is not showing up and nothing works, we tried using IE, Fire Fox and Chrome without luck.
We originally installed CCR 7.0.22 and after trying to figure out what was going on we came across CCR 7.0.33 we proceeded to uninstalled 7.0.22 and installed 7.033 but the problem persisted. We did notice the requirements for .NET 3.5 but do you think having .NET 4.0 instead of 3.5 is the problem? Would it make any difference if we install 3.5? Windows 2008 doesn’t like .NET 3.5 and we are having a hard time figuring out how to install it, any ideas will be appreciated.

Thanks,

Turning off UAC on the workstation doesn't seem to help and now after messing with it so much trying to install the .NET 3.5 Updates the CCR is looped turning off and then back on every couple of seconds.

Do you think the problem is within the workstation? We are going to fire up a Windows 2003 Server on a Virtual Machine to see if we have better luck installing it here. Anybody out there is successfully running CCR on a Windows 2008 x64 Server that can give us tips?

By the way, just in case we could be running into a conflict, on the same 2008 server we are also running Voicemail Pro and Call Recorder.

Thanks,

Indeed UAC.
Also .net 3.5 does not need to be installed because it is already on server 2008

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

We have CCR running on 2008 64 bit ok. We do however turn off UAC before the install so you may need to de and re

Thought I maight jump on this thread instead of a new one..

I have just installed CCR 7.0.1.31 on Server 2008 and SQLexpress 2008.

The issue with the reports is that there is no data showing up in them.. I see the HG and Agents but, nothing for stats just 0% on everything.

When I in the Monitor part I make test calls and see agents ring or lost calls etc but not in reports...

Any direction or what to look at is appreciated

is there anything that CCR doesn't have a problem with?

1) the install is problematic
2) the reports are crap
3) the program is a pig
4) it conflicts with Avaya's own apps (one-x)

There must be an alternative... oh wait, there is?

I must say that the installation is not crap but it takes a lot of time.
Follow the installation manual by the book and you are good to go.
BUT!!!!! use a server that is not used for anything else!!!
It must be a clean server 2003 or 2008 and you must have absolute admin rights!!!

Greybeard191, what of ccr does conflict with 1XP?

I was meaning in the sense that both are intensive programs, and running them both on the same server is a really bad idea. Poorly worded on my part.

I would disagree that the install isn't crap. The documentation is still server 2003-centric, with smatterings of references to server 2008. IF you have a clean server install in 2003, it follows the manual pretty well, but a clean erver 2008 install you'd better have an idea of what you're doing in server 2008. The problem comes when it isn't a clean install, as in sales has sold it and told the customer "sure you can use that server"... it might meet specs, but the install never seems to work right in those situations.

I've just grown to dread a sale of this product. You ever watched on of the old Peter Seller's Pink Pather movies? Inspector Dreyfus with the tic under his eye? That me everytime I get a CCR install.

Greybeard191, the trials for 8.0 have an installation manual for server 2008 so there is light at then end of this tunnel :)

I thing we are not going to have to wait very long for release 8.0 to be available, I think it is just around the corner. I just hope this new release fixes some of the volume issues we are experiencing with the 9504 and 9508 phones and CCR works without having to mess with the OS.
