A continuation of the previous rant.
In the ongoing most likely futile attempt to bend a program I paid for to my irrational purposes (using it to merge data) I figured I could perhaps vanquish the the thus far victoriously uncooperative and therefor still virginal CC10 by merging with my Palm, so I set my conduits to merge with Corel Central, closed the application and did a merge. Surprise, surprise, nothing happened aside from backing up my data on the hard drive.
Somewhere there is a clue to all this. It's going to be something like "Well, if you wear blue socks on Tuesday, of course you can't expect Corel Central to actually WORK, silly you," but I need to get to the bottom of this.
What perplexes me is that for all of the many people who apparently suffer through the CClogin errors and carm faux shows of concern provided by oem Corel Central, Corel itself doesn't seem to give a bat's butt. But then remember when the stock was at 70? and now it's like 13 cents? Silly me for sure for wondering.
(It's w2k with a previous copy of wpoffice pro 8 working just fine, thank you. Eudora may be messing with mapi, but I doubt it. about 500 or 600 mg ram, shares with MS OFfice 97. )
