CBT's/Bootcamps MCAD 1

Hi all. I have just started preparing for the 70-315 exam (on the first chapter of Kalani's book...) And I think if I self study, it will take a long time (1 year+ as I am doing my MS simultaneously and working...)

Have any of you found success with bootcamps and/or CBT's? My interest is mainly in expediting the process...Any advice is appreciated....

Also, for those of you that passed and are MCAD/MCSDs how long did you study for (total time?)

For what it's worth, having taken the MCSA/MCSE 2003 track, there were areas where interaction and CBTs were invaluable.

The 70-299 exam (Implementing Security) was a crushing defeat for me when I failed it. So far, this is the most difficult exam I've taken, and I thought I knew the material.

I used CBT Nuggets videos to prepare the second time around, and although the videos are long and tedious, the animation showing exactly how certain tasks are performed was far more useful than the book exercises. I also had the opportunity to diagram things out on a whiteboard and ask an instructor about the granular details of certain problems.

Armed with this additional knowledge, I was able to pass the second time around.

While this is not related to MCAD/MCSD directly, I expect that the wording and format of Microsoft exams would be similar in your certification track.

Just remember, it's not a race to get the certification. It's a process that deserves careful preparation at every step.
