hello... i've just booted up a new image that i've downloaded via the console... what is the command to store the runtime image to bootflash?

catos 6.3(9)

If you copied it from the console it is probably already in bootflash. Check using the dir:bootflash command.

after downloading an image via xmodem at rommon and booting it, the runtime image is not stored in bootflash. You have to manually perform that step.

to answer your question, displaying the contents of bootflash does not show the image.

As far as I know there is no way to save a running image into flash when it is running . If it is up and running now you have to download the image from a tftp server into bootflash and set the correct boot statement.

i've currently got a ticket opened w/ cisco on this... as soon as i get a response, i'll post an update.
