Sorry my english, does anyone know if exists any compatibility problem between catalyst switches and appletalk, we had many problems with some mac applications trasfering files and printing, this does not happend with other switches. Tanks in advance.

mac`s have problems with speed/duplex settings

you have to configure the port on the switch auto sense
eg
interface fastethernet 0/1
speed auto
duplex auto

and the NIC to make auto sense

that is the only way it runs fast
(both sides auto sense)
