I have a question. Is it possible to multicast with just a switch and no router??

Yes.

Routers have nothing to do with multicasting other than the fact that they can be "multicast aware" and assist in limiting or extending the scope of a particular multicast group.

Then can you do me a favor and help me with a sample config for a simple multicasting session. If you need more info just let me know.
