Catalog size

Hi,

I have a netbackup datacentre v4.5 on Solaris 2.8. The catalog is growing day by day and I am quite worried that it will reached it filesystem limits. I am quite puzzled by the trends as the backup is 2 month-cycle. After 2 months, it is still growing.

I wonder if there is anyway to reduce the trend. I am expecting that it will stablise after 2 months from the initial backup, but apparently it is still growing.

Any good method to reduce the growth in catalog size?

That depends 100% on your retention levels. You also have to remember that if you have more smaller files, the catalog will need more space.
