Catalog backup failure

Hello
I have been recieving an error code 11 when doing a backup of the catalog.Error message system failure call, thei all started when i removed some old tapes from the library, but the catalog tape is still in there.Any reason for this error? this is for Netbackup 5.0 MP3 on a WIN 2000 server.
