Catalog B2D media Failing on the same server?

Hi, we are running Backup Exec 9.1 and have a problem with Catalog. The backup on specified ran seccessfully but the files dont appear under the date. When trying to Catalog, it says you need to run the inventory first (which we have tried many times with success).
Any ideas what we might be missing here? B2D media size is split into 250 pieces of 1 GB each on that date.
