Hi All

Anyone heard of this.....PC's droping off the network. Resolution: do not mix cat 6 and cat5 cableing from the switch.??

My cable installer always insists that we do not mix cable types within a wiring closet. (Even CAT5 STP & CAT5 UTP)

This is very important when running a high density of 100MB Full Duplex cables to-gether. Even using UTP patch leads into STP structured cabling can cause problems.

Cheers
