Case/Enclosure for PC?

Our nickel plating facility has asked for a workstation to be set up at the end of the plating line. The only problem is the chemicals being near will cause any exposed copper to corrode very quickly. I was wondering if anyone knew of a manufacturer of chemical safe or air tight cases for factory workstations(15" lcd and WYSE terminal)? Thanks - Joe

There's extenders made so you can run keyboard, video, and mouse through a cat5 cable. This way you can put the computer case in another room.

Other than that, computers depend on airflow to provide the bulk of the component cooling. If you were to find an airtight case, you're looking at a system with the performance cut down to like a 200MHz Celeron. Really I wouldn't be surprised if you cannot find any airtight cases.

Google search for "rack mount enclosures". Should get enough hits to find one.

But even then, you probably will need to supply outside air under pressure to do some internal cooling.

This isn't a PC this is a WYSE 1125 Terminal, doesn't produce much heat at all. I think I found what I'm looking for at

A spray on conformal coating product should help

The company that I work for makes avionics boxes for military and space applications. Boxes see salt, acid, and other corrosive evvironments. You have to be careful and not coat fans, jumpers, any other moving parts, module connectors (both MOBO and module), switches etc. You probably need to contact the manufacturers first for more information because if done wrong you can end up with a mess that cannot ne fixed.
