I am building a CAS T-1 to plug into a 3600 series Cisco box with a voice-gateway card installed. This then has a QWEST DS3 terminating within the box.
My questions are:
(1) When I build the trunk group - on page 1 COMM TYPE: should it be VOICE or DATA. I have voice in there now. And then on page 6 MODE: e&m with ANS delay 20. Does that sound right?
(2) On the DS1 screen: LINE CODING-b8zs, Framing-esf, Signaling Mode-CAS or robbed-bit? I have CAS in there now.
Near end CSU- should I use an integrated 120A3 ICSU or nothing?
(3) Extending this to the Cisco Box - x-over cable required? And it will then come from the ICSU to the Voice Gateway card in the 3600, correct? With nothing chosen for CSU, how would it be extended to the RJ45 end on the cisco?
The Cisco box has been programmed for VoIP, and all it requires is my T-1 from the PBX...
All assistance is appreciated
Regards,
Chris
