Hi,
I would like to add a control in the form that allow users to carry over the existing record into a new record.

I really appreciate if anyone can answer this question. Thank a bunch.

Thanks gusbrunston. I want to ask 1 more question.

In this main form also included 3 different subforms which is the value also need to be copied over together with value in the main form into the new record. Is there any way?

TQ

Hi:

Do all the forms, main and three subs, rely on one table for the data? If so, then it seems to me it would not be too difficult.

In VBA code you could copy the values of all the fields into variables, goto the new record, and assign values to the fields in the new record from the variables. I just did this, and it took all day, just because of carelessness, and having to learn as I went along.

Are you sure the Microsoft procedure from the above support article won't do it for you? I used that procedure one time, and it worked very well.

Hint: Start a new thread in the VBA Coding forum of Tek-Tips. I bet you'll get help from those more knowledgeable than I. But I'll continue to monitor this thread.

Cheers,[/tt]
