I have recently become interested in the concept of data warehousing. As a reporting specialist I am often the main user of data warehouses or data repositories and would like to understand their construction and issues.

Can anyone recommend a list of reading materials or online courses to get me up to speed? Also, what are the general requirements for obtaining a job in data warehouse projects?

I cna suggest some readings:

anything on data warehousing by Bill Inmon

THE DATA WAREHOUSE TOOLKIT by Ralph Kimball
THE DATA WEBHOUSE TOOLKIT also by Ralph Kimball
THE CORPORATE INFORMATION FACTORY by Claudia Imhoff and Bill Inmon

Good luck!
