Anyone have any ideas on how I can cap the amount of bandwidth going into/coming out of my network via a router?

We don't have a router now, the line from the ISP goes straight into a firewall appliance. I need a way to cap our bandwidth usage (the ISP won't do it, probably because they love those overage charges on burstable lines). I was advised to get a router... I don't remember any ways to do this though with a router....

There are ways that you can rate-limit an entire interface, or you can rate limit by the source Mac-address. I have it setup right now on a cisco 2514 so that my two other roommates that LOVE Kazaa don't use up all my upstream (the only draw back to cable). So, it is possible and fairly easy to implement. Let us know what kind of router you get and I'm sure someone on this forums can help.
