I am having great problems with this one and would welcome any advice.

I am currently working on a Word 2000 document in which I can only insert capital letters and yes caps lock is off.

My copy of Word works fine on everything but this document. So my copy of WORD is OK.

The document is a style sheet, does that make a difference? if so any ideas on a solution.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Regards

Dave

1. Check Format/Change Case and make sure that UPPERCASE is not selected.

2. Check Format/Font and make sure that All Caps is not selected.

Thanks Susan,

You work to late (just like me..)

No, I'm sorry both of those were fine, any other ideas?

hmmmmm......

1. Try pressing the CAPS LOCK so it's on, and see if you beginning typing in lower case (hey, it's worth a try).

2. Copy/Paste everything into a clean document.

Other than that, I'm stumped.....

Drawn a blank again i am afraid "HOWEVER" in editing the document I deleted all the characters following my first block of text, after doing that I could type the next text in either case. There must be a control character any idea how I can see if it is there.

Okay, try Tools/Options and click on the View tab. Select Field Codes under Show.
